What is the Elf Fantasy Fair?
Every year in April since 2001, the substantial number of 25,000 people from all over Europe come to the largest Fantasy event on the European continent: the Elf Fantasy Fair.

Two-third of the visitors have transformed into orcs, magicians, dragons, knights, vampires, elves, unicorns, gothic lolita, manga comic hero or a combination of these. Every year the costumes are getting more resourceful and more artistic. In the midst of the budding nature of the Castle park which belongs to the largest castle of the Netherlands – Kasteel de Haar fantasy lovers indulge themselves in all that is offered and coveted: medieval music, dancing, lectures, theatre plays, and parades.

Anniversary; 10 year of existance
The Elf Fantasy Fair celebrates in 2010 its 10th year of existance; the upcoming Elf Fantasy Fair is an anniversary edition. This shall be celebrated with an evening programme on Saturday which will end at 10pm. More and more information about programme will be revealed soon.

Second location Elf Fantasy Fair
On 19th & 20th of September 2009 another edition of the Elf Fantasy Fair took place at the Castle Gardens of Arcen in the southern province of the Netherlands, called Limburg, close to the German border.

Train and shuttle busses:
At train station Vleuten (near Utrecht), shuttle busses are available from 9 am until 23.00 on Saturday and 19.30 on Sunday.
For directions when travelling by train, you can use www.ov9292.nl or www.ns.nl.
By car:
From the A12 take the exit De Meern and from the A2 take the exit Breukelen. From then follow the signs "Elf Fantasy Fair/Kasteel de Haar".
